And here’s a small list of whisky-fuelled stops to make along the way:

The Sligachan: on-site microbrewed beers & an impressive selection of whiskies in the heart of Skye within a casual yet cool atmosphere. They also do delicious smoothies if you’re in a Haggis detox and in need of a fruits fix 🙂

The Lorne Bar: a traditional Scottish pub with a lovely beer garden in Oban

Loch Fyne Whiskies: the cutest little whisky shop in Inveraray – the selection is not as massive as what Londoners would find at The Whisky Exchange for instance but I would highly encourage you to go sample their house whisky bottled under their own name!

The George Hotel: Hidden gem and a definite must-go if you find yourself wandering the streets of Inveraray… Don’t be shy to go deep down to the back where you’ll find a wonderful garden to sit back and relax while sipping a fine dram from their impressive selection.

The Tobermory Distillery: thanks captain obvious… see a review of my visit here!

The Talisker Distillery: the world-famous distillery offers tous every 15 minutes (probably best to book in advance for large groups or during peak season)

The Loch Lomond Arms: stunning decoration, yummy food, local craft beers as well as a decent whisky selection, maybe my favourite place to stop while passing by the Loch Lomond (and if you’ve never been to Luss, it’s a mandatory stop-over… )

Oh… And you’ll find all my addresses to enjoy a good dram in Glasgow here!

And without further ado… Here’s a looooong picture summary!
