3 tasty distillery restaurants for a dramtastic foodie experience

1. The Malt Barn Restaurant, Glenfiddich Distillery (Scotland)

Amongst the many reviews (let’s be honest, some of them aren’t pretty good…) you’ll find here and there on the internet, this one sums up pretty well my thoughts about this restaurant: “Superb surroundings inside and out with wonderful service, nothing changes here, still a great varied menu filled with fantastic dishes to choose from, all with the finest sourced, produce & ingredients for the chef to create fabulous dishes. All courses were truly sensational.”
The only downside would be the size of the dishes according to their slightly expensive prices but The Malt Barn definitely remains a nice and scenic place to enjoy a local flavored lunch after (or before) touring the distillery.

2. The Atrium Restaurant, Nant Distillery (Tasmania)
Nant Distillery is located on the Historic Nant Estate (circa 1821) in the Highlands of Tasmania. A working farm and Whisky distillery offering a superb dining experience in the award winning Atrium Restaurant. –
A very beautiful place to visit on a sunny day. Stunning setting, you can even wander in the garden between two courses and turn a simple dinner into a deeply romantic experience. The menu isn’t huge, and I truly believe this is a sign of quality. You’ll be able to taste unusual delicacies, some of them being very local, unique to Tasmania. The outstanding service and incredibly friendy staff will help you make the best out of your visit.
Location : Nant Lane, Bothwell, Tasmania 7030, Australia

3. Bistro at the Distillery, Lakes Distillery (England)
A quality hidden gem nestled in a newly-opened English distillery, The Lakes Distillery. A modern and welcoming environment along with fantastic food (and drinks !) and knowledgeable staff make this restaurant a real must-go if you happen to visit Cumbria and the wonderful Lakes national park.
The bistro also houses the distillery’s boardroom, a stylish private dining area for 30 people where the casks of maturing whisky can be viewed.
“We want to keep our visitors stimulated and so the menu will be constantly evolving to reflect the seasons and the local produce available. The bistro will aim for a relaxed, lively daytime and evening service with a front of house team focused on offering diners a great experience.”
