“The Perfect Base From Which To Explore Speyside”
With an expert blend of tradition and modern luxury, the boutique Station Hotel in Rothes is the perfect base from which to explore Speyside: world-famous whisky country.
Each distillery has its own unique heritage and story, something that stands it apart. And The Station Hotel is no different.
Following extensive restoration by Richard and Heather Forsyth (now you got where the whisky theme comes from?), this beautiful sandstone building is once again at the heart of the community: a place where Moray residents come to sample the finest Scottish food and drink.
The building’s close connections to the whisky industry are evident throughout.
From the hotel’s own whisky, bottled here in Speyside, to rare finds and well-known spirits, the friendly and highly-knowledgeable staff are on hand with expert dram suggestions for even the most accomplished palate (and trust me, they definitely know their whisky!).
I had the immense chance to stay in The Caperdonich Suite (see pictures below – we’re talking about the huge room with mezzanine bathtub and 248997 remote controls) for a couple of days and it was just more than perfect (needless to say the complimentary Glenrothes dram & ginger biscuits had probably something to do with it… Especially enjoyed on a relaxing bubble bath watching A Place In The Sun – Don’t know why but I’m completely addicted to those property programs.)
Hope you’ll appreciate the pictures. And next time you find yourself in Speyside, you know where to go (even if it’s just to enjoy a small dram in the well-stocked bar, trust me, you’ll be in for a treat!)
