It’s one thing to attend a whisky festival… It’s definitely something else to organise one ! 😉
If you’re wondering why I was less active than usual those past few weeks, you have your answer now! I was busy preparing what was the very first edition of #ToulouseWhiskyFestival, held last weekend at The Hopscotch Pub & Brewery in Toulouse (well, you guessed that last bit right?). We announced the event back in early March, tickets sold out in under a week, leaving us with 300 thirsty Toulousains to welcome and entertain !
The festival was held over 2 days, showcasing around 40 distilleries and 200 whiskies to sample, as well as offering some free delightful masterclasses ranging from whisky & beer pairing to “make your own blend” sessions. A huge thanks to our partners and exhibitors La Maison Du Whisky, Bruichladdich, Glen Scotia, The Scotch Malt Whisky Society and all of you that attended the event, a special thumbs up for those of you who woke up way too early and drove many hours to join us !
This first edition was a real blast and I cannot wait for next year, which would see the festival moving to a new – bigger – location and showcase even more malted delicacies.
Without further ado, here are a few snapshots of the event ! (Sorry, didn’t have much time to take quality pics ;))
