I just spent a few days without my beloved fluffy cat that I’m already developing the symtoms of a severe lack-of-cuddling-and-petting-sessions condition (go straight to your therapist if you start experiencing some serious blackouts – it’s probably due to drug withdrawal, and cats definitely are one of the hardest).
Trying to heal my emotional wounds, I thought I could pay some sort of tribute to our favourite four-legged friends by dedicating them this bizarre piece on my blog. A quick explanation here : I tried to create the perfect pairings between some cats & their malted soulmates, on the basics of their appearance, character traits or completely random and/or subjective reasons.
Let’s get the party started!
Why do the Sphynx Cat and Unaged Rye Whiskey make a great couple ? Because there’s something definitely missing in each of them… And it’s pretty obvious. However, they may be the ugly ducklings of their respective spieces, there will still be some marginalised people to sing their praises and show them unconditional love (not saying I won’t be one of them… But not saying I’ll be one of them either).
Why do the Persian Cat and Maker’s Mark make a great couple ? Because they’re both oh-so-sweet, oh-so-mellow and oh-so-mainstream ! Plus, the Persian cat is one of the most popular cats in the world (true fact), so is Maker’s Mark when it comes to American whiskey.
Why do the British Shorthair and Glenmorangie Nectar d’Or make a great couple ? Because they both show a gentle and elegant profile. But also because you could look into their golden eyes like… Foverer.
Why to the Siamese and Compax Box Peat Monster make a great couple ? Because… No seriously, you don’t need an explanation for that one (come on, you’re all grown-ups now, do I really need to explain what’s pure obviousness ?)
