I can’t believe it’s November already… I feel like I’m repeating myself a lot but jeez, time is flying! Halloween is already behind us and we’ll soon be thinking about what to eat for Christmas dinner and which party to hit for NYE…
Hopefully, Autumn is my favourite season of the year when it comes to whisky: I can finally go hide under my tartan blanket with a dram in hand and prepare tons of banana bread to devour in front of a cheesy tv show 😀 Anyway, I hope you’ll enjoy this month’ selection (and who knows, maybe find some early-Christmas inspiration…)!
Benromach 2007 – Hermitage Wood Finish
This is the 2007 vintage Benromach single malt Scotch whisky which has been initially matured in bourbon barrels for 6 years, before being transferred over to casks which previously held wine from the Hermitage Appellation d’Origine Contrôlée for 31 months.
Arran Smugglers’ Series Volume Two – The High Seas
The second bottling in the Smugglers’ Series from the Arran distillery (the first one proved rather popular indeed!). This one has been matured in a combination of rum casks and first-fill bourbon barrels – 8,700 bottles were produced. Absolutely brilliantly presented once again!
Girvan 52 years old – That Boutique-y Whisky Company
It’s the second batch of Girvan single grain Scotch whisky bottled by That Boutique-y Whisky Company! Aged for 52 years before being bottled by the Boutique-y bunch, this one packs a punch of maple syrup, dark chocolate and juicy melon notes! Time travel and rotovaps are the theme of the label once again – a brilliant combination, we’re sure you’ll agree…
Dà Mhìle Single Grain Welsh Whisky
This is the first organic single grain whisky from the Dà Mhìle distillery in Wales. They have been making their own liqueurs and gins for a few years now, and commissioned the Loch Lomond distillery to produce some organic single malt and single grain whisky back in 2000, but now they have their very own organic Welsh single grain whisky!
