As you may have noticed, I had the chance to spend my Birthday weekend in sunny Mallorca. Amongst breath-taking scenery, winding mountain roads Here’s a shortlist of 3 spirited destinations in Palma de Mallorca, I voluntarily picked 3 very different places, from high-end to utterly popular spots.

1. Bar Armas : a luxury experience

Located in Palma, this lively and luxurious Bar welcomes guests with a wide variety of delicious drinks such as wine, distinctive whiskys, as well as fresh prepared alcoholic and non-alcoholic cocktails (Also an incredible selection of gins !)

Hotel guests and residents at the surrounding villas enjoy the lounge character with space for 40 people in its indoor area as well as space for 80 people in the outdoor area.

A one-of-a-kind experience in a unique location often referred to as “the balcony of Palma”, I think the pictures speak for themselves here…

.

2. Shamrock Fun Place : Irish pub atmosphere

Shamrock Fun Place is an Irish Tavern located on Palma de Mallorca’s Paseo Maritimo. This great Irish pub has regular live music and holds special evenings and events.

Shamrock is what you would expect of an Irish bar. With its huge collection of whiskey’s, and serving Guinness and some excellent draught beers, its a great place for a night out. They host regular live music performances by band from across the island, and also have Jam sessions, as well as Reggae and DJ nights. The bar has a really welcoming atmosphere with really friendly staff.

Shamrock are into their sports and they have a large screen TV which shows many of the major football games included UK Premier league, Spanish European league and Champions league, not forgetting the Rugby as well.

Throughout the year you can also enjoy the large outside terrace which faces the marina. (Digame Mallorca)

.

4. Ginbo : a trendy Mallorcan hotspot

As Mallorca is more of a gin-friendly area than a whisky-lover heaven, I chose to break the sacred rules of this “where to enjoy a good DRAM in…” series with this Gintastic spot !

It won’t come as any surprise that the name of this bar has a strong connection with its speciality – Gin! With over 100 brands of gin lining the shelves and a selection of premium tonics, it’s a G&T lovers paradise.

However, it’s more than just a cocktail bar and opens throughout the day for coffees, snacks, beers and the like before the day ends and city nine-to-seveners appear for an ‘after work’ pick me up!

Ginbo’s staff are all highly trained mixologists who can concoct some of today’s fashionable cocktails with flair and expertise in next to no time!

The bar is located in the Paseo Mallorca at the top end of Avenida Jaime III, in the same block as the Hotel Jaime III. Why not pop in after browsing the high class shops and El Corte Ingles department store in that area?
