5 Whisky-fuelled gifts for a boozy Christmas

thewhiskylady - 2016-11-22

WOW WOW WOW. It’s already this time of the year again! We were still wandering around in our neon-pink swimsuits, poolside, sipping on coconut milk straight from the coconut (well, for the luckiest of us… I wasn’t part of this team though, I was more the one already shopping for scarves and gloves in Edinburgh in the middle of August) a few months back and yet all signals are here to remind you Christmas is just around the corner.

No worries, I’m here to help you deal with the annual “I’m trying to find something decent and not too lame at the last minute because I just procrastinated until today” gift race. You don’t need to spend hours browsing the internet again this year, no… I sacrificed myself and did it for you 😀 #CharitableSoul

Here we go!

Some elegant whisky-barrel cufflinks

These cufflinks are the first accessories from OAK. “A new brand for the elegant gentleman who appreciates a truly fine whisky” which is still gathering funds through an already successful crowdfunding campaign!

While I’m not a glentleman, many of my relatives are, and you’re probably in the same case (or you may be one refine gentleman yourself? Who knows who’s wandering around here…)

Bundled with the cufflinks comes a small book with the entire history of the oak. Where it was cut, by whom, how it was made into a barrel, what kind of beverage was aged in it and how it got shipped to Scotland..  And what I find utterly cool is that OAK will even tell you the age and brand of the whisky it contained! And yes, this feeling of hanging around at a whisky party with my fancy 24-year-old-Glenfarclas cufflinks would definitely made me consider a sex change operation my day.
